I was here in the process of restarting my life, literally. I had been homeless for about 3 years and spending time in this place helped me a lot! It is both as good and as bad as you make it. But you can take it. The staff is there for you every step of the way! Thank you USVETS!

Horrible establishment. Horrible staff that allow drugs and drinking. Not a safe environment, high crime rate. I could run this program better. This has to be the worst experience in my life I cannot believe this business is allowed to operate

What nobody tells you is you gotta get a referral to her and hope they have room for you. Don't bother showing up there unless you get a referral from crc. Now I have to try to find a place to stay until Tuesday and hope I can get a place to stay.

This program is complete garbage. It is not designed for people who have a job and are trying to make their situation better. It is designed to keep the bum vets happy who just hang around all day. "Case manager" support is non existent, mine is out of the office MONDAY AND TUESDAY. There are 4(edit: literally a minute after posting another dryer now doesnt work, down to 3 dryers that work in the laundry room in a building of about 100ish and people take up 2 at a time, but they will waste money on a garden and new benches. Their priorities are completely backwards. You are stuffed into a room with 3 disgusting, vile, no respect, tweaking, alcoholics who will make your life hell. I don't get sick but have been sick since day 1 of coming here. This whole building needs to be condemned.

This is a veteran facility where opportunities, perseverance, and options to start over intertwine.

While I commend the employees for what they do given this neighborhood... I should post this warning:

This is not a place to recover from me ch of anything, definitely not substances nor trauma; rather, this is a place to survive until you get a grip on some security. I personally prefer to spend most nights on thestreets.

Worse, this milieu is actually dangerous for the over-educated, righteous, and over-caring/morally sensitive...
So if that's you, unless your stay is brief, expect to experience some street trauma.

Overall the average maturity level here feels like that of middle school - just this past month I had to ward off at least two attempted-bullies.
Almost everyone here is either clammed up in fear, confusion or despair, or they are seeking a way to take advantage of you, if not physically, then emotionally or financially ( ...and here in Las Vegasar are the world's best!).

I've witnessed schadenfreude more times in my 2 months here than perhaps the rest of my life.

Otherwise, there are a number of great staff members here, but they seem overwhelmed.

This is hands down the bane of VSO existence. I would rather sleep on the roof than to deal with what this program does to veterans. Aside from poor help and constant belittlement, I cannot imagine just how much funding this organization receives for vets, that they never see. In the past two years they’ve spent 80% of funding on their pockets being lined. This organization will soon enough be audited and hopefully and end will be near. God bless those who don’t know the truth. Trafficking, sexual violence, political tanking. You name it, they’ve got it. 😅🤣

UsVets, helped my retired husband and myself, keep from being homeless and they saved our marriage, however we're about to be on the homeless list again due to Ms.Charmain, sharing my husband private info with our rotten black hearted landlord, then closed out his case without telling him and now he has to start all over again, my father was a 3X war hero from the US Army, I've always respected veterans my whole life because my family back home in NJ,I've spent years working as the administrative secretary for the veterans service office in TRENTON, NJ,and I've never seen veterans so unwanted like veterans are mistreated in Las Vegas Nevada, anyone working for UsVets, need to be ashamed of themselves for all the lies I've heard coming iut their mouths, including giving iut a veteran private info to landlords and causing my husband to be refused a new lease signing but, she caused us to be placed on the homeless list now because Ms Charmaine, closed out his case without notifying him, now back to step #1, while being placed on the streets.
