LC Container loves to come here every time we pass through Shreveport. We love the pies as well as the plate lunches and burgers. Everything on their menu is great and we can easily see why it was listed in southern living magazine, and on Oprah‘s places to try. We’re on the way to see Family or for Buisness. We always make a point of stopping here, as it is a staple for Shreveport. Can’t say enough about the staff and the service that we get every time we come in here from breakfast to lunch to dinner this place is amazing

A large apple juice is $6.50 with tax and tip. You’re looking at about eight dollars for apple juice. Half gallon of apple juice at Walmart is like two dollars. Susan is a very patient waitress and she was really friendly. I enjoyed my food and the friendliness of the staff. I wanted to give this place 5+ stars. I’ve been to this place for 40 years. It definitely doesn’t seem the same anymore. Doesn’t know how to whip eggs to scramble them. Just look at the pictures. They said the hamburger was fresh ground beef. it didn’t seem that the hamburger was fresh ground. Hamburger, was delicious. The pancakes were good. The hamburger was good. Everything was done well. But the eggs were not scrambled good though I don’t know why people don’t whip eggs anymore. $37 plus tax that’s a $40 strawberry pie. I think we used to pay like nine dollars for those pies. I didn’t buy one this time. The omelette was just OK.

I regret not getting breakfast food. It all looked great.
There was a wait for seating at noon, but we only waited about 10 minutes. We will be back.

Looking at the menu, you think this place is a little pricy until the food comes out: Large portions made to order and fresh. A side of bacon comes with four substantial crispy strips. Toast is delivered to your table warm and buttery ready for jam. The pancakes are generous and hot, and you are served a warm vat of syrup.

A fun mural of the local downtown river area with stars recent and past is fun to peruse while you wait. Hot coffee and serious servers who do their jobs well await you. TOO thumbs up.

The place was packed. As to be expected. A local foodie recommends this place. The art on the walls is a nice touch. Cartoons of Hollywood gone by. The food was good. The pie sadly was not. We got a piece of strawberry and a piece of chocolate. The chocolate was bitter and not smooth, almost like a batter that is not mixed all the way, and it was not sweet at all. It's definitely not what I expected. Even the kids would not eat it. We got the chicken fried steak (daily special), the breakfast with 2 eggs, a waffle, fried potatoes, and sausage. The fried okra was good. The chicken was good, the breakfast was good. It's hard to mess up breakfast. We never got refills on our water or coffee. This place is worth checking out. The cook was amazing. We watched him while we waited. My husband said he needs to be the highest paid person working here.

Depending on the time of day it is, this place gets crowded quick. Service is usually fast though so the wait wont be too long. I usually get pancakes but tried the waffle this time, it's good but could be a little sweeter. The hashbrowns are my absolute favorite! They're not the typical hashbrowns but rather grilled breakfast potatoes served piping hot 😍

The first couple times we went it was good. We went today for lunch and my food was cold. The chicken wasn't done. My husband asked for fried okra and got tomatoes and okra instead. We will not be back.

Awesome! The nicest staff. Dani was a treat. Food was like Granny was cooking it for us😁 the owner actually suggested other great places for us to eat and enjoy stopping town. Five stars all around! Oh and the prices are unbeatable! Great job you guys. This is what I want to experience when I go out.❤️❤️
