My friend and I were looking for a place to have lunch and decided that this spot was mid point for both of us. I was a little nervous because my friend is Guyanese and a Caribbean food expert. We were both pleasantly surprised. I had the diamond salad and must say it was by far the best salad I had in my life. The shrimp and salmon were seasoned to perfection and the fruit and cheese added the perfect balance to the Carribean dressing. My friend had the sweet jerk chicken and she really enjoyed it. We both agreed that we will be visiting this place again. I also ordered a to go meal for my husband and my friend ordered a to go meal for her son that looked delicious. I give them a 10 out of 10.

The food was very savory. Finger licking jerk sauce. My family enjoyed from a wide variety of combo options. I myself found my jerk salmon combo was tasty and healthy. Make sure to order extra plantains fresh if you like them with your meal though

Had BBQ jerk chicken and it was very very good. Gotta try ox tail next time, it looked super good.
The owner i believe was very friendly. A great place for good food with friends and families.

I’ve ordered from Morgan’s before and his food is spectacular, but he recently catered for my parents anniversary party and not only was his food delicious but his professionalism was unmatched. Not only did he deliver all the food on time but myself along with the 120 guests felt the love that he put into it. I would highly recommend eating at his restaurant for amazing food and a homely feel. I would also recommend if you need an even catered.

I went to Morgan’s Island Grill for my birthday with my brother and my dad, and the chef, Mr. Morgan himself came out to greet us & wish me a happy birthday. We left with a complimentary gift of his own personal Jerk Sauce, and got to taste the fried chicken and chicken soup, on the house. The atmosphere and hospitality it top notch. You can tell he cares about his food and puts love into it.

My dad was a chef his whole life and was highly impressed by the quality and freshness of the food… and he’s not one to be easily impressed!! As a family that does not eat out much, my 83 year old grandmother was complimenting how tender the oxtail was. She is a picky eater and she enjoyed the cabbage, plantains, cornbread and ribs!

The chicken soup and fried chicken was PHENOMENAL and I recommend it 10/10! Thank you Chef Morgan, we will absolutely be back!!!

We’re visiting from out of town, and stopped in for dinner this evening — the food was great! The two young waitresses were so kind, and the owner greeted us so very warmly. We had the sweet bbq jerk chicken & oxtail meals & they both hit the spot. Large portions, quick service, and high quality food. If we lived nearby I’m sure we’d be regulars!

15/10 This food was so flavorful. I’m sad this place is in New Jersey and not Detroit so I can’t eat there all the time. The service was amazing and felt welcome the minute i crossed the door way. Got jerk chicken and shrimp spicy and the spice level was on POINT! All of the sides were perfectly seasoned. Highly recommend this place for sure! Cool old building and the town looked really nice too!
