Academy Sports + Outdoors in Bossier City is a great place to find everything you need for your active lifestyle. They have a wide variety of athletic apparel, footwear, and fitness equipment, as well as outdoor gear for camping, hiking, and fishing. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and they're always happy to help you find what you're looking for.

I've been shopping at Academy Sports + Outdoors for years, and I've always been impressed with their selection and prices. They often have sales and promotions, so you can save money on your purchases. I recently bought a new pair of running shoes there, and I was very happy with the quality and fit.

I highly recommend Academy Sports + Outdoors in Bossier City to anyone who is looking for a great sporting goods store. They have everything you need to get active and stay healthy.

Great family store to find what you need for sports and outdoors. Competitive prices and good quality brands. We’ve recently found really good clothing options like Magellan and Columbia shirts and vests for me and my boys, as well as tennis shoes. We’ll be going back for most everything we need. So glad we have one in my hometown, and knowing they are pretty much the same wherever we travel, it’s good to know we can find what we need if we’re on the road and forgot something! Thank you Academy!

I like the store but the 50ish aged overweight guy that worked the gun counter was judgemental and condescending. I had cash in my pocket and was ready to purchase. He showed me two different pistols and when I requested a third, he said " You are all over the place in what you are looking at aren't you?" I looked briefly and told him to attend another customer that approached the counter so I didn't make him wait but told him to get back to me in a couple of minutes because I was ready to purchase. He went away and never looked back at me. After waiting for 10 minutes he never came back so I left. He saw I was there waiting at the counter. I went straight to Dav Tac and was dealt with professionally and made my purchase with them. I can't stand condescending jerks.

This store was clean, pretty well organized, well stocked, and had lots of workers floating around to ask directions. Of course only 2 of the 8 or 10 checkout lines were open.

Maybe it's me. I'm kinda over big box stores, especially sporting goods stores. If you know what you want and are willing to find it yourself, it's OK I guess. Same with Walmart. No one there is really knowledgeable on anything. I'd just as soon buy online. You have to go to independent stores to really find anyone that knows anything. And I know that can be hit and miss too. Plenty of "experts" at mom and pop stores that don't know much either. Academy does always have a good selection of cheap made-in-China products, so there's that. I didn't even go by the guns and ammo section. It's just depressing to me how little the typical big box gun counter people know about what they're selling. That doesn't stop them from blowing smoke most of the time though. That's probably just my perception. Hopefully. And I didn't go by this store's gun counter today so they may all be great. It would certainly be a nice change from every other big box "gun store" I've ever been to. Once, one guy working at Cabelas in Louisville, KY, was knowledgeable. He knew the difference in controlled round feed and modern push feed, how the 3 safeties in Glock pistols work, and the pros and cons of first and second focal plane scopes. Those are the first few questions I ask at a gun store, to gage who I'm dealing with. And I've gotten some really outlandish answers over the years.

There is a great selection of sporting goods, shoes, boots, clothes, and gun safes at this store. Like I said, if you know what you want, it's fine. It is a convenient place to shop for gifts with Black Friday sales. I'm just not a big box store guy.

I was disappointed that they didn’t have the clothing item i was looking at in the size I needed. I asked at customer service if they had any in that size and she just said what’s out is what they have. She didn’t even offer to help order what I needed, so I gave my business to Dicks instead who had plenty in stock!

I purchased the yeti lunch bag day trips a month ago. The lunch bag works perfect and keep the ice cold water bottles for 6 hours. It can hold up to 6 cold water bottles. I really like it. Charcoal color aka dark grey. My fav color. However, the shoulder strap cotton holder does teared apart. It’s not as strong as Yeti advertised. It’s very weak. I lost my receipt and it passed 30 days returning policy. Very disappointed. Beware of this product when you applied shoulder strap. It’s not worth $80 at all. Not at all.

Stopped by so my wife could make a few purchases. Store is always neat and clean but the service can be terrible. We stood at the gun display and counter for about 15-20 minutes with an employee standing about 10 feet away; employee never engaged or said anything. When my wife found what she wanted, the lady seemed not interested in assisting with the purchase. When we did the paperwork, she told us it would be a few hours to get a response back so we went to eat. We didn't come back that evening, so my wife stopped by the very next day. The lady was there again & said the process would have to start over since we didn't return. She never said we had to or not return the same day. In the end, my wife made her purchase at the other Academy in Shreveport.
